After graduating in experimental physics and obtaining a PhD in solid state physics, I gained some experience as research fellow in prototype hardware design related to magnetic resonance imaging before turning to the world of patents and intellectual property.

In private praxis I worked on the drafting and prosecution side of patents as well as on contentious proceeding where granted patents get challenged. A fair extent of my work took place in the mobile telecommunications sphere.

Joining an inhouse department for a large semiconductor corporation, I got closer to strategic aspects of building patent portfolios that support and protect a product business. Part of this are licensing initiatives in particular for innovations that go beyond a sold product. I am passionate about covering all facets of your solution or offering, crafting an IP position that protects both, keeps competition at bay, and ultimately opens doors to growing your business.
